Test Automation Engineer |Contract | Galway

Due to a sudden increase in growth within their market, my client is looking for a Contract Test Automation Engineer to work with them for a minimum of 6 months with possible extension.

This role offers an opportunity to work with a market leading organisation during an exciting time of growth and expansion, as well as a competitive daily rate of €400 and hybrid working (2 days on site per week).

Responsibilities:

• Create test cases to identify areas that require improvement in line with the test plan.
• Develop a testing strategy that will cover all stages of the developmental lifecycle.
• Identify key issues and ensure that the correct action has been taken by engineers
• Work to agreed quality standards and industry best practices with a strong drive towards CI/CD, DevOps and automation.

Requirements:

• Experience of complete end to end testing throughout a life cycle model
• Experience in testing database management components of applications
• Experience of using software testing tools for both web and desktop applications.
• Proven experience in developing verification test methods and recording test results.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing.
